We’ve all been there. You’re considering buying a Bialetti, but you want to see a good Bialetti coffee maker review before you drop cash on it. However, you can’t seem to find an honest opinion. After all, it’s coffee we’re dealing with here. And that’s no joking matter!
But there’s more to it than just coffee. That’s because like most stovetop coffee makers, Bialetti actually creates espresso. Do you know the difference between coffee and espresso?
The difference is simple. It has nothing to do with the beans. You could make espresso with any regular coffee bean. Instead, the difference comes down to preparation.
You see, coffee is what you get when warm water filters through ground coffee beans. On the other hand, espresso shoots boiling water through ground up coffee beans at high pressure. You get frothy, steamy espresso coffee in under a minute.
And that’s also why stovetop coffee makers, such as the one in our Bialetti coffee maker review, are actually espresso makers. The water boils, shoots around the internal compartments of the maker, and comes out the other end as espresso. Neat!
Let’s take a closer look.
The Bialetti Coffee Maker Review
- Makes 6 Espresso Cups = 10 fl. Oz.
- Polished Stainless steel construction
- Ready in 4-5 minutes
So what is the coffee maker in our Bialetti coffee maker review? It’s a stainless kettle with a handle, lid, and spout.
You’ll love that you can produce six cups of smooth, creamy Italian espresso in a few minutes. But even more importantly, you’ll wow your guests when you bring out your Bialetti coffee maker. It looks gorgeous.
Form and function
From top to bottom, this coffee maker looks sharp. There’s a certain classical European flair to it, which we find appealing. It’s undoubtedly among the most stylish stovetop espresso makers we reviewed.
It’s nearly eight inches tall and six inches wide at the base. That means it fits perfectly on most stovetops.
Then, inside, you’ll find a stainless steel filter plate, where you place your coffee ground. Also, a stainless steel funnel keeps water in while boiling but allows it to pour out when tipped over.
In addition to beautiful stainless steel construction, there’s an ergonomic heat-resistant handle and lid. It all comes together to create a beautiful and functional addition to your kitchen.
What’s a Bialetti coffee maker review without warranty information? After all, once you’ve purchased something, it’s good to know whether or not the manufacturer will stand behind their product.
As a general rule, we like companies who are confident in their products, so they offer longer warranties. During our Bialetti coffee maker review, we discovered that Bialetti is not one of those companies.
The most Bialetti will do is process a return within 30 days of purchase. That’s barely enough time to break the coffee maker in, let alone protect the consumer from defects.
What customers say
Next, in our Bialetti coffee maker review, we went to see what customers who purchased a Bialetti coffee maker on Amazon had to say.
We love reading customer reviews because that allows us to see how a product performs in the real world.
Unfortunately, customers on Amazon gave the Bialetti coffee maker an uninspiring 3.8 out of 5 stars. Overall there were mixed reviews. For instance, one customer said that the pot made a better espresso than Starbucks.
Meanwhile, another customer lamented the cheap construction of the pot, saying the stainless steel dents and rusts easily.
The best reviews all focused on how easy to use this espresso maker is. Also, many people loved that it was easy to clean. A lot of people had nothing but praise for the quality of espresso the Bialetti produces. One person called it divine.
On the other hand, there was an equal number of reviews that said it got built with low-quality steel, and that after a month or two it, starts burning coffee instead of creating smooth foamy espresso. Considering the tiny return window, that’s not good news.
How Does It Compare to the Others?
Who else wants to make a great cafe-quality cup of coffee in the comfort of their own home? With our Bialetti coffee maker review, you’re well on your way to excellent home-brewed coffee.
We put it up against a few of the competitors to see how it compares. After all, if you’re going to spend money, you might as well buy the best you can afford.
And judging by the average customer Bialetti coffee maker review, things aren’t looking too rosy for Bialetti.
So what are the alternatives? Well, we took a look at some other stovetop espresso makers and gave them a quick review.
Check it out.
How we reviewed
It’s a question that drives you nuts. How do you review these coffee makers? Let’s be completely honest here. We depend a whole lot on the internet.
But the great thing about the internet is that there are is enough information to get an overall idea of what’s good and what’s not-so-good. So we compiled all that information into one comprehensive Bialetti coffee maker review.
And as for the competitors, we went to Amazon and found the highest rated espresso makers. All of these are similar in design and function to the Bialetti.
But guess what?
They all had higher customer satisfaction! We didn’t list these in any particular order. Let’s dive right in.
bonVIVO Intenca Stovetop Espresso Maker
- Stovetop espresso maker will full-flavor of espresso, producing 10 oz for 6 flavorful espresso cups
- This stovetop espresso maker is easy to use and can also be used as a sweet coffee maker
- We use the best products for each of our espresso machines to ensure every drop pleases your tastes
First up is what many customers considered the most stunning stovetop coffee maker. That’s the bonVIVO Intenca Stovetop Espresso Maker.
The bonVIVO company claims that their Intenca Stovetop Espresso Maker harks back to the traditional way of making espresso. And the pot is definitely designed to do that. It’s broken into three chambers with a removable basket for the coffee grounds fitted into the top.
Lastly, a copper-chrome finish wraps around the stainless body, giving it a vintage look.
Amazon customers loved it. They gave it 4.7 out of 5 stars. In fact, in our Bialetti coffee maker review, the bonVIVO scored the highest for customer satisfaction.
Most people praised the quality of the espresso it makes. Also, many people complimented the sturdy quality build of this pot. The only complaints revolved around how difficult it is to clean.
AICOOK Stovetop Espresso Machine
Next up in our Bialetti coffee maker review is the AICOOK Stovetop Espresso Machine. Although AICOOK calls it a machine, it’s just a standard stovetop espresso pot. Nevertheless, this coffee maker has a simple industrial design, built for the 21st Century.
You’ll enjoy its unique ridged form factor, which AICOOK claims helps transfer heat evenly throughout the maker, so you get a cup of espresso faster. The entire pot is made of aluminum so that you can use it on electric and gas stoves. However, you won’t be able to use it on an induction stove top.
Also, there’s a flame-retardant handle and an easy-pour spout. Best of all, the pot comes with a two-year warranty, which blows the Bialetti out of the water!
Customers on Amazon rated it 4.0 out of 5 stars. Almost everyone loved the end result. That is, the espresso coffee this pot produced. Also, many people praised how easy to use it is. There’s no messing around with multiple chambers, which also keeps it easy to clean.
On the other hand, many customers were not impressed with the cheap aluminum material. Also, there were some complaints that the lid breaks off after only a few uses. Good thing there’s that warranty!

- ⭐ [Highest quality stove top espresso at home] You can easily make a moka coffee, also called a low pressure stovetop...
Next, we looked at the GROSCHE Milano Stovetop Espresso Maker. This beast can make up to nine cups of delicious, steamy espresso, so if you have a lot of visitors at your home, it will do the job. But it’s what the company claims they’ve done to their coffee maker that’s truly interesting.
You see, GROSCHE claims they’ve taken the Bialetti espresso maker and improved upon it. They’ve started by adding a soft-touch burn guard to the handle, and a silicone percolator cap on the top.
Then they added a ridged, industrial design for better heat transference. However, their maker consists of aluminum and not stainless steel like the Bialetti.
Still, customers gave it a solid 4.3 out of 5 stars on Amazon. People praised the quality of the coffee this thing makes. They also loved that it is super-simple to use and easy to clean. Several people also mentioned the soft-touch handle is an excellent addition.
That being said, a few people reported that paint began to chip off after a few months. Because there is no warranty information, you would fall under Amazon’s standard return policy in the event of a defect.
Of course, that’s not bad, especially if you’re a Prime member, but we expect more from manufacturers.
Maggift Stovetop Coffee Maker
- Method: Creating coffee using steam pressure, providing a quick way to make a single cup of coffee.
- Material: Top 304 stainless steel, Bottom high quality 430 Stainless Steel. With a black nylon heat-resistant handle.
- Convenient: Makes 6 Cups (12 oz) of rich, velvety espresso in less than 5 minutes
Fourth on our list is the Maggift Stovetop Coffee Maker. We found this six-cup maker simple and attractive. Because it’s built with stainless steel, it’s a close competitor for our Bialetti coffee maker review. In fact, it even looks similar, with shiny old-world slenderness to it.
The Maggift is simple inside and out. There’s an easy-to-remove permanent filter inside where you can place your coffee grounds.
However, customers were not too enamored with this coffee maker. They gave it 3.9 out of 5 stars, same as the Bialetti coffee maker. While this may be true, it doesn’t mean there weren’t fans.
For instance, many people praised it as making exceptional coffee, and many said it was the best value for the money they could find. Remember, the budget is just as important as taste in today’s marketplace.
Unfortunately, there were just as many disappointed customers. Many people found issues with poor machining, which caused leaks. Also, a few people found their coffee maker began to rust after a few months. And that’s never a good thing.
Farberware 50124 Classic Stainless Steel Yosemite Coffee Perculator
- Classic coffee maker: Make delicious coffee morning or evening with The Original 8-Cup Farberware Stovetop Percolator
- Durable and convenient: Heavy-duty stainless steel coffee maker is polished to a mirror finish. The sturdy, clear glass...
- No mess: Features a permanent filter basket, so there’s no need to deal with messy coffee filters
Finally, we looked at the Faberware 50124 Classic Stainless Steel Yosemite Coffee Percolator. We wanted to include a standard coffee percolator in our Bialetti coffee maker review just to see how well it holds up. We weren’t disappointed.
But first, remember the difference between espresso and coffee? Well, a coffee percolator works a little different from an espresso maker. Instead of shooting steaming water up into the coffee grounds, it sends the water into a chamber above the coffee grounds.
Then the water drips back down into the grounds and filters through back to the water again. So, both make a decent cup of coffee; they just go about it in different ways.
And this Farberware classic coffee pot delivers. For starters, it looks really nice. It has a bold, shiny look to it. Overall it gives a feeling of sturdiness. Thanks to high-quality stainless steel and a heat-resistant handle, you get a beautiful piece of hardware.
Inside, there’s a permanent no-mess filter, and non-reactive materials in the steel mean it doesn’t absorb water or odors. Also, it’s rust-proof so you can use a dishwasher. And best of all, it comes with a lifetime warranty. Read that again. Lifetime!
Overall, customers gave it 4.4 out of 5 stars. Considering more than 5,000 people reviewed it, that’s incredible. Most people loved the coffee this thing produced. One person even wrote, “Juan Valdez wants you to buy this.” Also, customers found it easy to use and clean.
Contrarily, a few people complained that it takes a long time to brew a cup of coffee. There were some other complaints as well, but most involved shipping damage or extremely rare manufacturing defects which the lifetime warranty covered.
Which One Is Best?

By now, you’re probably wondering which one of these coffee makers in your Bialetti coffee maker review is best. Truth be told, there is no single best coffee maker. Everyone has different needs and wants, so choosing the best is highly subjective.
That being said, we can tell you which ones are definitely not the best. And the Bialetti coffee maker is nowhere even close to being the best. There are too many issues with it, and the lack of a reasonable warranty leaves a bad taste in our mouth.
Likewise, the Maggift stovetop coffee maker is another one that we would probably avoid. Much like the Bialetti, it comes with plenty of issues and no warranty.
Which one of these coffee makers do you like the best? Let us know in the comments!
